# veELTA

veELTA is vote-escrowed ELTA used for governance weight.

## Mechanics

* lock ELTA for `7` to `730` days
* receive non-transferable veELTA
* boost scales linearly from `1x` to `2x`
* principal unlocks after expiry

Unlike decaying ve-token models, current veELTA voting power does not continuously decay over time between user actions.
