> What Elata is today, and how device makers, researchers, and app studios can work with us.

## Elata today

Elata is two things that are live now:

* **[Elata](/overview/apps-on-elata)**, a marketplace at app.elata.bio where builders publish biosignal apps and users play them in the browser
* **The [Elata SDK](/overview/elata-sdk)**, open-source browser packages for webcam heart rate, EEG headbands, and headband PPG

Some features are experimental and some are planned. The
[What's live](/overview/status) page lists every capability with its status, so
you can see exactly what exists today.

## Ways to work with Elata

| You are | Start here | What it looks like |
| - | - | - |
| **A device maker** | [Device integration](/integrate) | Implement the SDK's transport contract so your headset works in every Elata app |
| **A researcher** | [Science](/overview/science/overview) | Build studies as Elata apps, or use the open-source SDK in your own tools |
| **An app studio or developer** | [Build apps](/apps/what-are-elata-apps) | Publish on Elata and use its built-in accounts and payments |
| **An investor or ecosystem partner** | [How Elata fits together](/overview/ecosystem-map) | Understand the components, then get in touch |
