# Elata Points

> Non-transferable points you earn for using, building, and growing Elata.

## What points are

Elata Points reward real participation in Elata: playing apps,
writing reviews, building, and bringing friends. Points are tied to your
account. They can't be bought, sold, or transferred.

## How to earn

| Activity | Examples |

| **Showing up** | Daily sign-in, and bonuses for 3-, 7-, and 30-day streaks |
| **Playing** | Playing apps, your first app played, weekly quests |
| **Community** | Writing reviews, commenting, voting, following, saving apps |
| **Sharing** | Sharing apps, and clicks on your shared links |
| **Referrals** | A friend you invited joins and is verified |
| **Profile** | Completing your profile, verifying your email, adding social links |
| **Building** | Publishing an app, and your app reaching 100 and 1,000 plays |
| **Purchases** | Buying in-app items |

Most activities have a daily cap, and some can only be earned once. Point
values and caps are set by Elata and may change; the Points page shows the
current values.

  Referral points are only granted for genuine, verified sign-ups. Activity
  that looks like farming may be reversed.

## Quests

Quests are short goals with a points reward, such as playing apps on two
different days in a week. Your progress is tracked automatically. Claim the
reward from the Points page once it's complete.

## Leaderboard and seasons

The leaderboard ranks users by points earned over the week or month. Points
are also grouped into seasons; a season's ranking doesn't change your lifetime
total.

## Spending points

You can spend points on profile badges and titles, such as **Supporter** and
**Pioneer**, from the Points page.

    No. Points can only be earned through activity on Elata.

    The activity may have hit its daily cap, or it may be a one-time reward you've already earned. Some rewards, like referrals, are granted after a check that can take up to a day.
