# Privacy and Consent

> What stays on your device, what apps can store, how the opt-in biometric Score works, and your rights over your data.

## On-device first

The Elata SDK processes biosignals on your device. Raw camera frames, raw EEG,
and raw PPG don't need to leave it, and Elata's
[submission policy](/apps/build/review-and-policy) forbids apps from sending
them anywhere.

Elata's [privacy policy](https://elata.bio/privacy) puts it this way: raw
physiological signals never leave the user's device through the SDK, and the
processing pipeline produces non-identifying derived metrics by design.

## What apps can see

Apps run in a sandbox and never see who you are. They can't read your wallet,
email, session, or your Elata account. When an app needs something from the
platform, Elata answers on your behalf.

***

## What apps can store

An app can save data for you through Elata:

* settings, saves, and progress
* event records and scores

That data is scoped to that one app and your account. Apps can't read each
other's data. Builders only see aggregate, anonymized
[analytics](/apps/operate/analytics-and-health), never individual users.

***

## The biometric Score

The Score is a single, cross-app measure (0 to 100) built from **derived**
session results, such as how much calmer you got during a session compared
with your own baseline. Raw signal is never part of it.

* **Off by default.** Nothing is shared until you opt in.
* **Asked by Elata, not the app.** The consent prompt appears in Elata's own interface.
* **Enforced on the server.** Every result is checked against your current consent before it counts.
* **Revocable.** You can turn sharing off at any time.
* **Versioned.** If the consent terms change materially, you're asked again.

You can see your Score and activity on your **Insights** page, and inside apps
that ask for it. See [Score and insights](/users/score-and-insights).

***

## Your rights

Under Elata's privacy policy you can ask to access, correct, delete, export, or
restrict your personal data. Email [info@elata.bio](mailto:info@elata.bio); the
policy commits to responding within 30 days.

Each app on Elata is built by an independent developer. Read an app's own terms
if it links to any.
