# Get Started

> Open Elata, sign in, and try your first biosignal app in a few minutes.

  <Step title="Open Elata">
    Go to [app.elata.bio](https://app.elata.bio) in a desktop or mobile browser. You can browse without an account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in">
    Sign in with a social login, or connect an existing wallet if you have one. You don't need a crypto wallet. Signing in lets you save apps, keep progress across devices, leave reviews, and earn [Elata Points](/overview/points).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick an app">
    Start with a **camera** app if you don't have a headband: all you need is a webcam. Check the app's page to see what it needs.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Press Play and allow access">
    The app opens right in your browser. If it uses your camera or a Bluetooth headband, your browser asks for permission first. You can say no, and you can change it later in your browser settings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Get a good reading">
    For camera apps: sit still, face a window or lamp, and avoid flickering light. For headbands: follow the fit tips on [Devices](/users/devices).
