What data exists

Elata is built so that raw biosignals don’t need to leave the user’s device. That shapes what data exists:
Elata does not currently offer research datasets or data access programs.

Running your own study

Researchers can use the open-source tools directly:
  • Build a study as an Elata app. Use the SDK for capture and processing, and publish it on Elata to reach participants in their browser. Your app is responsible for its own consent and study protocol. Apps may not send raw biosignals off the device under Elata’s submission policy.
  • Use the SDK in your own tools. The sensor packages work in any web app, outside Elata, under your own institution’s data handling.

Recording sessions (experimental)

Experimental. biosignal-session is available as source code only, and Elata does not host session recordings yet.
biosignal-session records multi-sensor sessions (EEG, PPG, rPPG metrics, and more) as typed streams in Apache Arrow files, designed for reliability:
  • every chunk carries a checksum and a stable identity, so it can be stored and retried safely
  • real gaps are recorded as explicit discontinuities, never interpolated
  • time is a single session clock in integer microseconds
Recording is local: the package has no network client. The application that embeds it decides where data is stored. See biosignal-session.

Analysis tools (experimental)

biosignal-analytics provides reproducible features and transparent scores, with every value traceable to the algorithm and version that produced it. See Metrics and scores.
